People at Denison are endlessly encouraging. While dorms that aren't designated as quiet dorms can get very loud, the dorms that are quiet or other special designations do comprise people that try to uphold the rules of their dorm at all times. With that being said, there are a few problems that at least I feel are present on campus. Denison is a great school. I loved working here. One skill that I do believe we learn better more easily than students at many other schools is how to communicate clearly and effectively, because it is such a huge focus in all classes and extracurricular activities, both in written and spoken forms. I won't say I attribute this all to Denison, but as a kid that grew up in a semi-rural, lower-middle class area, I feel like this school picked me up and threw me into a completely different world. I stay at DU for the friends though. Denison is a good place to gain a broad perspective on multiple disciplines, while at the same time honing your sights in on your chosen academic area.
